The solution is provided in article [[http://www.notebookcheck.net/2560x1440-or-2560x1600-via-HDMI.92840.0.html|2560×1440 or 2560×1600 via HDMI]], in particular, one need to create custom resolution 2560x1440@55Hz with CVT-RB.
* Download monitor drivers for [[http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverid=P152W|Dell U2713HM]]. On default PnP monitor drivers custom resolution won't work. After installation the active driver should be //Dell U2713HM (HDMI)//.
* On desktop //Right mouse click -> Graphics Options -> Custom Resolutions//, define 2560x1440, 32 bit, 30 Hz, CVT and click //Add//. Define the same but with 54 Hz, click //Add//.
* On desktop //Right mouse click -> Graphics Properties// and one can see the custom resolution 2560x1440 appeared in the list of available resolutions. First apply one for 30 Hz, then one for 54 Hz. Unfortunately applying 54 Hz first does not work: reports that resolution was applied, but monitor has not flickered.
